Our project is to build mini libraries in rural areas to provide access to free books and promote a culture of sharing resources. Our mission is simple: to create spaces where anyone can take a book, read it, bring it back, and, in doing so, encourage literacy and foster a love for reading within our communities. These are the mini libraries that we have built and installed so far. Thanks to Juan Jose Castillo and Sofia Munoz who coordinate the project from start to finish, we have been able to install more than 10 mini libraries so far in different rural communities. Watch video below:
Our first mini rural library was installed in Parque Naucalli, in the State of Mexico. Authorities and residents were truly happy welcoming this small but significant gift which purpose is to grow the reading habit, increase literacy and build community.
It is located inside the park right in front of a Cultural Center, where mostly elderly people spend long time visiting, attending workshops and other events. We want to appreciate the efforts of Jorge de Leon and all the volunteers who made this possible. We want this mini rural library to be the first one of many! So please support our project.
Here our new free mini library in the community of Honey, Puebla. Mex

We recently installed another #minifreelibrary in a rural area in Mexico, in Tasquillo Hidalgo. We are positive this will cause a great impact in the community and we trust that they will take care of it and will use it to grow their love for books! Please support our project so we keep doing more of these #minilibraries
Here is another #minirurallibrary that we installed in the community of Santa Maria el Chico, near #Tulancingo #Hidalgo in #Mexico. We want to thank our dear friend Ezequiel Cruz Olivera and family for sponsoring this mini library. We witnessed how people from the community embraced this gift and took advantage of accessing books right away! Specially young readers!
