What an amazing night celebrating our beloved Día de Muertos with our Noche de Catrinas event — all for a good cause! 💀✨
We are so grateful to everyone who joined us for this unforgettable evening. The creativity and spirit of the attendees shone through their stunning costumes, vibrant colors, and joyful energy. Beyond the beauty and celebration, the night held a deeper purpose — to raise awareness and support for families in rural areas of Mexico.
It was truly a magical night, filled with culture, tradition, and compassion. Every smile, every story, and every contribution reminded us why our mission matters.
As we continue this journey, we remain committed to supporting the hardworking people in rural communities — those who keep our traditions alive, nurture our lands, and embody the heart of our culture. They deserve more opportunities, resources, and recognition, and together, we can make that possible.
Thank you for being part of this beautiful celebration and for helping us make a difference — one community at a time.
Our Summer Shoe Drive Campaign has officially come to a close, and thanks to your generosity, we collected over 1,000 pairs of shoes! 👟👠
These shoes will soon make their way to developing countries, where they will not only provide much-needed footwear but also help boost the local economies of families in need. 🌍💙
We are beyond grateful to every single person who collaborated, donated, and supported this effort.

Back in 2021, on the brink of starting massive vaccinations in the US., Mexico was still struggling with the economic impact of the pandemic, especially in rural areas. Most people who had a job, had now to create new ways to generate income and provide for their families. It’s important to know that in most Latin American countries, governments did not come up with a stimulus package, where every individual received an incentive. Nor did they get any unemployment income. Most citizens who lost a job need to rely on their little savings they may have or be victims of shark loans to survive.
We came across Laura, a single mother who lives in Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo in México. She has a 2 year old and she was studying at the Universidad del Valle del Mezquital. She lost her primary income and she had literally no savings. The only way out was to become self sufficient, since there were no job opportunities.
She came to us asking for support to start her own bakery. She had experience with some baking training that she had in the past, and also some business skills learned from her education program at the University.
She was coached on how much she needed to invest to start her own bakery and how to run it successfully. With all the right planning tools and mentorship she put down $2,000 pesos and we did the rest to buy her an oven, tools and ingredients to get her started. Last time she checked in with us, she sent us pictures of her products and she’s providing for her 2 year old son and thinking of maybe hiring someone to help her.
Stories like this fill our hearts, knowing that some people just need a little push, a little support and by giving them not only the financial assistance but also HOPE, will make a great impact in their lives.
Laura is already selling different desserts to provide for herself and her family.
We are proud to have contributed to a meaningful project focused on training and educating rural communities in sustainable building practices. 🌱
Through this initiative, participants learned how to create eco-bricks using recyclable materials and trash, helping to reduce construction costs while protecting and improving our environment.
Our heartfelt thanks to Architect Irma Dinorah Meneses with Machi-Ko foundation, for leading this training and for her continued commitment to enhancing the quality of life in rural areas. Her dedication inspires us to keep supporting projects that promote sustainability, innovation, and community development. 💚
On behalf of our organization AEDRA International, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made our recent charitable event such a meaningful experience. Despite the rainy weather, so many of you came out to show your support—and your presence truly filled the room with energy, generosity, and community spirit.
A special thank you goes to Victor and Julieta Bocos, the wonderful restaurant owners of Casa Frida, who opened their doors to host us with such hospitality. Their amazing food truly made us take a trip to Mexico through their flavors. We also want to Thank the small business entrepreneurs who generously donated gifts towards the Loteria winners: Gaby Bustillo, Juliana Echegoyen, Annie Alzate that made the evening even more special. Also to Judy from @lapoblanityabyJudy who donated delicious gelatins towards our cause. Your contributions reflect the very heart of our mission: empowering communities and supporting local development through collaboration, opportunity, and shared vision.
Most importantly, to all the attendees—thank you for standing with us. Your commitment allows us to continue carrying out projects that create economic opportunity, foster resilience, and build stronger futures for communities in need.
Together, we are making a difference, and together, we will continue to create lasting impact.
We want to invite you to follow our social media pages where we share more about our projects, success stories and future events!!
We want to share with you the THANK YOU messages that we have received from the people who have benefitted from our seed capital program. We can see how a small gift can make a great impact in their lives, not only economically but also morally since we can see in their thank you messages they thank God for thinking of them. We are sincerely touched by these hard-working people who live in rural communities and we know they will use their seed capital wisely to thrive.
Let’s keep supporting people in rural communities!!
We had the opportunity to learn from Arturo, a hard-working young man who lives in the rural area of Zacatlán in the State of Puebla, Mex. Arturo has a disability but despite all obstacles, he was able to start a mini-mart in his community. He told us he studied engineering but due to his disability he was not able to keep the job he was offered. He also sings at his local church along with his father.
We supported him economically so he can buy a slicer so he can sell ham, cheeses and other cold cuts. We are confident he will be able to keep growing his business and also to assist others in his community. He love and admire people like him, with a strong sense of purpose and determination. Here is a brief video of him.
Milagros Hernandez, who lives in rural Mex received a little gift from our organization
Milagros Hernandez is an exceptional mother and we thought she deserved a little gift for mother’s day. She is a single mom with 3 children, Ernesto 12, Abril 9 and Daniela 3. She has a little store and a corn mill to make tortilla dough which she sells. With the seed money that we gave her, she will restock her little store to expand her business and keep providing for her family.
Help us so we can continue supporting small business owners in rural areas!
We recently participated at a great event organized by United Nations Association Broward County Chapter @unitednationsofbrowardcounty at Pace Center for Girls in Ft Lauderdale Fl., where we had the opportunity to meet and get inspired by amazing #women 🙌🏽👱🏽♀️👩🏽🦱👩🏻👩🏽🦳 We had a tea party and a discussion panel about gender equality and how to overcome obstacles to have girls and women in leadership positions.
Dr Ciara Bostic was one of our guest panelists and we were impressed with her trajectory in education and social impact. She holds a PHD in organizational leadership and she founded a non-profit organization that offers mentoring programs for girls in disadvantaged areas in South Florida.
We also had the privilege to have as our guest speaker Lieutenant Colonel Duilia Mora Turner who is a veteran from the air force and had served as a scientist in different shuttle missions at Cape Canaveral. As a foreign affairs officer, she promoted military diplomacy working in policy and strategy.
Both guest speakers shared with us their personal and professional stories, Dr Ciara emphasized the importance of being authentic, not to lose our essence in becoming a leader. Duilia mentioned that the great equalizer in gender is technology, so we should embrace it and use it as a tool. She also mentioned that she never saw ‘obstacles’, she saw them as opportunities, such as joining the military and serving her country.
Our audience was formed by outstanding women in their fields who currently serve as board members of non-profits and they also occupy key positions in large corporations serving as community leaders promoting a culture of diversity and inclusion. We all learned a lot from each other and we were all inspired by their amazing personalities and unique stories.
